The Oto Acoustic Emission (OAE) Test is a simple, quick, and highly reliable screening test used to evaluate the functioning of the inner ear, especially the cochlea. It helps in detecting hearing loss at a very early stage, even when the patient is too young to respond to routine hearing tests. This makes OAE an essential tool in newborn hearing screening as well as in pediatric and adult hearing assessments.
